Pardiñeiro is a photographic project that addresses rural abandonment in Galicia through the documentation of old traditional homes now in ruins. These structures, now integrated into the natural landscape, are interpreted as survivors of a disappearing rural culture. The work takes place in the interior of the province of Pontevedra and combines an aesthetic, symbolic, and documentary approach. Through photography, the project aims to preserve this material heritage, reflect on depopulation and emigration, and highlight the role of nature as a transformative force. The images capture the coexistence between architecture and the native environment, revealing the passage of time and the transformation of the territory. Inspired by artistic, cinematic, and literary references, the project offers a critical and poetic view of ruin. Pardiñeiro is not limited to capturing what is disappearing; instead, it reinterprets and revalues the abandoned and forgotten as a space of identity and memory.
